About Us

When a small group of women met in 1995 to discuss opening a not-for-profit consignment shop offering fine home furnishings, they could not have imagined the impact it would have on Glenview and surrounding communities. Our mission, to support agencies that serve women and families in crisis, remains the same today.

Village Treasure House opened for business in 1997 and a year later awarded $6000 in grants. We now provide support to 17 local agencies and have given away over $1,500,000!

Our merchandise includes upscale and vintage furniture and home furnishings. We are a convenient resource for those in need of selling or donating home furnishings, as well as a great “find” for those wanting to purchase high quality items, at bargain prices, for a great cause. Our inventory changes daily. We have a wide selection of merchandise including:

• Fine and Casual Furniture

• Artwork

• Lamps and Chandeliers

• Quality Rugs

• China, Crystal, and Silver

• Home Accessories

In 2008, we moved to our 3rd third location, a warehouse showroom in Northbrook, Illinois. Village Treasure House is staffed almost entirely by over 100 dedicated volunteers who handle everything from sales to merchandising to computer support. We have one full-time paid position, which is shared by three managers. We encourage you to consign, donate and shop at Village Treasure House and share in our mission to help women and children in crisis.
